Chloƫ Reid is an artist, writer and curator based in Johannesburg. Her creative practice extends from painting and drawing into short fiction and narrative-based video and audio. She sees her work as a series of footnotes to the ways in which politics, symbolism and subjectivity inflect everyday experience.

She is the commissioning editor and co-founder of wherewithall, which supports independent curatorial practices in Johannesburg through an equipment store, research library and project commissions.

She holds an MA in Creative Writing from WITS (2022), an MFA from The Glasgow School of Art (2017) and was awarded a postgraduate fellowship by the Glasgow Sculpture Studios in 2018.

She has exhibited and curated locally and internationally and her creative and critical writing has been published by the Daily Maverick, Wanted Online, Mail & Guardian, News24, Botsotso, Jungle Books (CH), Portside Review (AUS) and several gallery imprints.
